The government’s authoritarian Police, Crime Sentencing and Courts Bill may be on the back burner, but it’s only a matter of time before they wheel this out again, chuck in a few amendments to get “Her Majesty’s Loyal Opposition” onside (not that they actually need them with the current Tory majority) and make this repressive bill law. Then, none but the most placid, quiet, cap-doffing, grovelling and ineffectual forms of protest will be permitted by the State: every picket line will be threatened by the cops; Gypsy, Roma, Traveller people will be targeted even more than they are now.
Long live May Day! The resistance continues!
This International Workers Day, there’ll be loads of Kill The Bill demonstrations and actions up and down the country. So get involved!
